Donald Trump is on the verge of becoming the 47th President of the United States.

Trump has 248 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House, leading in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

The Republican Party has won the majority in the US Senate after the elections held on Tuesday. According to CNN's projection, Republicans have taken 51 seats, ensuring dominance in the upper house of Congress.
