Harris and Trump verbally attacked each other

The vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, said that the presidential election in November in this country will be an election between a former prosecutor and a "convicted criminal".

With the latter, the expected candidate for president from the Democratic Party referred to the candidate of the Republican Party, Donald Trump.

Harris made the comments at her first campaign rally in Wisconsin.

A day earlier, it became clear that she has the support of the majority of democratic delegates to be nominated as a candidate for president.

The current president, Joe Biden, gave her support after he himself withdrew from the race for re-election on July 21.

Speaking to thousands of supporters in Wisconsin, Harris compared Trump to what she said were crooks she prosecuted as a former prosecutor.

During the speech, she also laid out a number of liberal priorities she said she would pursue if elected president, including gun control and access to abortion.

"Do we want to live in a country of freedom, feeling and the rule of law, or in a country of chaos, fear and hatred?", she said.

Trump reacted with a post on social networks, where he wrote that "Kamala Harris lies" and "destroys everything she touches."

He was convicted in May of illegally influencing the 2016 election and faces several other trials./ Rel
