Israel attacks the Gaza Strip, the EU is concerned: To be held responsible for

Airstrikes resume in Gaza. Israeli warplanes have attacked several locations in the Gaza Strip after a rocket landed in southern Israel. Tensions have risen since 10 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces last week.

The Israeli military said the airstrikes in the early hours of Sunday targeted a weapons manufacturing facility and an underground tunnel belonging to Hamas.

The European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, issued a statement saying he was "very concerned about the increasing level of violence in the occupied West Bank".

"In the last few days alone, 10 Palestinians have been killed by the ISF (Israeli Security Forces). "Yesterday's tragic killing of a Palestinian, Ammar Mifleh, by a member of the ISF (Israeli Security Forces) was the latest example," said Borrell.

At least 207 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied territories of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem this year.
