In particular, Merkel referred to the control exercised by Musk, as the owner of 60% of the satellites in orbit, describing it as "extremely problematic".

Elon Musk, known for his often provocative comments on the X platform (formerly Twitter), responded with vulgar language.

In his post he said: "Who is this person Angela Merkin?", making a deliberate misspelling.

The word "Merkin" in English refers to a wig, but is also used to refer to a teenager, an insult that many users of the platform found unacceptable.
