Candidate for MPs, Ilir Alihmemeti, invited to News24, stated that regarding the election results, DP leader Sali Berisha met and thanked him.

But, he stated that for him the emotional side is not important, but that the work be quantified.

"I was contacted and thanked by Berisha, he thanked me for the election result. I don't know if he was surprised by the result. For me, the emotional side doesn't matter, what's important is to quantify the work," said Alimehemti, who remained outside the Assembly.

Alimehmeti was asked if Berisha should resign as leader of the Democratic Party. According to Alimehmeti, everything has stages and that at the moment the process is not yet closed, and that when it convenes, then an analysis can begin in the party.

"The stages cannot be ignored. Processes have stages, initially there is the process, there may still be recounts, there are Electoral Colleges, etc., when the process is over, we will have an analysis. After the analysis is done, the strengths and weaknesses are looked at.

"The lists probably had the potential to be better, we have said this before. The Presidency has been meeting regularly and we will make relevant decisions. I am looking at my part, for the moment. I am currently in specific visions and then a broader analysis can be made," said Alimehmeti.
