The president of Israel is escorted to his last residence, thousands of people

 Hundreds of thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets of Tehran since this morning to bid farewell to President Ebrahim Raisi, who died on Sunday, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Abtolakhian and six other people, after the helicopter he was traveling in they were traveling crashed.

Carrying portraits of the late president and Iranian flags, the crowd gathered around Tehran University, chanting slogans against the United States. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led the funeral procession for Raisi and the seven others, whose coffins were draped in the Iranian flag. 

"O Allah, we only saw good from him,"  Khamenei said during the prayer, while acting interim president Mohammad Mohbar, who stood by, could not hold back tears.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shebaz Sharif, a delegation of the Afghan Taliban, the second in command of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, and representatives from Turkey, Russia and Iraq were also present at the ceremony.

Today has been declared a day of public mourning and the residents of Tehran have received messages on their mobile phones inviting them to participate in the burial of martyr Raisi. Also, the Iranian authorities have announced five days of mourning throughout the country.
