Trump ahead of Harris, betting companies give the Republican the best odds

Donald Trump has taken his biggest lead over Kamala Harris in the race for the White House just three weeks before the November election, according to betting odds.

American and international betting markets have shifted in favor of a Trump victory, with sites such as Polymarket and PredictIt showing higher odds for the former president, including his dominance in most of the key states of the electoral battle.

It's the first time Trump has topped the betting market since the Sept. 10 presidential debate, in which Harris was widely seen as the winner. The Democratic nominee's ratings, however, have been stagnant since then, while Trump's have been on the rise.

According to Polymarket, Trump's victory has a 57.5% chance of being realized against Harris's 42.5%.

Polymarket says the former president has the advantage in six of the seven key swing states. The Republican candidate is projected to win Arizona (68%), Georgia (64%), Pennsylvania (54%), Michigan (52%), North Carolina (63%) and Wisconsin (52%).

The only battleground state where Harris has held a slight lead is Nevada, where she was given a 51% chance of victory, while Trump's chances stood at 49%.
