Deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus, opposition: Lukashenko sponsors terrorism, security is compromised

Deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus, opposition: Lukashenko sponsors

Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has said that Russia's decision to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in her country is intended to subjugate Belarus and violate its Constitution.

"This undermines international security and, of course, is against the will of the people. We are not a nuclear country and we do not want to put nuclear weapons in our country," said Tsikhanouskaya.

She called the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko an accomplice in the war and a man who fulfills all the orders of Vladimir Putin. Tsikhanouskaya stated that Lukashenko cannot take credit for the fact that Belarusian troops have not been sent to Ukraine.

"It is the result of a call by the citizens of Belarus who are against this war and our soldiers who do not have anti-Ukrainian feelings. They don't want to kill or be killed on the battlefield for the ambitions of these two leaders," she continued.
