Residence addresses / Confirmation is done in e-Albania or in the Civil Registry, otherwise it does not receive a certificate

Residential addresses for every citizen will now have to be confirmed on the e-Albania portal. The Ministry of Interior has undertaken a campaign for the systematization of housing addresses for every Albanian.

The Minister of Interior Bledi Çuçi announced that only 750 thousand families have an exact address in Albania. The main role in this campaign, the minister stressed that the Civil Registry offices and municipalities have.

"Today 750 thousand families have an exact address in the Republic of Albania which has 8 components and every Albanian citizen has a unique address, but we are still far away. All Albanians must have an address. The main role of the civil status offices and municipalities, the involvement of the citizens themselves who should be aware and participate in the verification of addresses and all other actors in order to have an evident and unique address ", said Çuçi.

If the citizens do not confirm the exact address of residence, they will not be able to obtain a certificate. The Minister of Interior announced the conditionality of the process regarding the provision of other services by the Office of Status to the Municipalities and Municipalities.

"He will not receive a certificate if he does not confirm the address according to the unique system. Thus, we will extend this obligation to other services as well. This important process of the relationship with the city and the state is completed. Once specified the address will be linked to the national civil registry. As all data is given, the address section will also include the address. The certificate will have the exact address of every Albanian citizen. Every Albanian citizen today is easily identified with this address. So I ask in the first place from all of us, from all of you who are here, from the mayors a maximum commitment to close this important process. But even citizens spend only two minutes to establish a correct relationship, to perform a civic obligation to specify his address where he resides. Very soon we will condition this process with the provision of services. "But we do not want to get to that point because we believe that Albanians have the conscience to dedicate two minutes to their commitment to establish a more accurate relationship with their country." said Çuçi.
