Opposition action for investigation commissions, Rama: They are not established without fulfilling the criteria

Opposition action for investigation commissions, Rama: They are not established

Prime Minister Edi Rama commented on the opposition's action, which aims to "paralyze" parliamentary life and consequently the voting of the 2024 Budget in tomorrow's parliamentary session.

" This is not the climate for the most important law, but no law and no custom, because when people gather together on a roof for any reason, the minimum is supposed to be cold with each other, but not to use cold tools and hot weapons against each other. - to the other." , Rama said in the show "Debat" on A2CNN.

Regarding the main request of the opposition, which is the acceptance of their requests for the establishment of parliamentary investigative commissions, Rama said that there is a list of criteria that must be met for allowing their establishment.

"This is not a matter of first impressions, but of the constitutional and legal framework, because of course the Constitution gives the right to a group of deputies, who have a limited number within the parliament, that is, to the opposition, to request the establishment of a parliamentary investigative commission.

But its establishment is not an automatic action but a decision made on the basis of constitutional and legal criteria. As long as these criteria are not met, these commissions will not be established", said Rama.
