The Assembly of the Socialist Party did not bring any good for the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

This is because his power in the Tirana district was reduced threefold, with the changes that Rama made on the eve of the start of the electoral campaign for the 2025 elections.

The Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, who has led the campaign of the Socialist Party in the district of Tirana in the last two elections, will now share this function with Speaker of Parliament Elisa Spiropali and Minister of Education Ogerta Manasterliu.

It is learned that Veliaj will be the political leader for the entire district, Ogerta Manastirliu will deal with the party structure in the municipality of Tirana, while Elisa Spiropali will deal with the party structure in the other municipalities of the district: Kamëz, Vorë, Rrogozhinë and Kavajë.
