The Czech Republic requests the return of visas for Albania, Rama: It is

The Czech Republic has requested the return of visas for several countries, including Albania. According to the Czech Republic, the reason is the increasing illegal crossing of immigrants, estimating that Albania has not prevented it.

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted for the first time regarding the news. In a post on Twitter, Rama writes that there is no chance that Albania will get the visas back, accusing the opposition of spreading the news.

"Everyone knows who has been given a visa in Albania, no one should be surprised how the rumor that the EU will return the visa regime is spreading! Nongrata has no chance to be removed, visas are unlikely to be issued, and the ruble opposition, no matter how hard it tries, will not give up ," Rama wrote on Twitter.

In fact, what Rama calls 'rumours' was not declared by the opposition, but by SchengenVisa.com .

The article quotes that "Citizens from Turkey, Tunisia, India, Cuba and Burundi, in particular, enter legally (without visas) by air in Serbia (and from some of these countries also in Albania) and a very high number move irregularly further towards the EU member".

In these conditions, the Czech Republic has requested the return of visas for Albania with the argument that "Albania never fully aligned their visa waiver lists abroad with the EU, even though they enjoy visa-free travel in the bloc, this contributes to the increase of the number of irregular migrants entering the EU."
