The Socialist Party convenes the National Assembly today, while the meeting will be held in the city of Durrës at 11:00 and will start with the speech of the Prime Minister and President of the SP, Edi Rama.

According to the agenda, voting will then take place for the new governing bodies of the party, for the Presidency and the Secretariat.

The new assembly of the SP was elected by the votes of the delegates of the SP Congress on July 28 of this year.

This assembly has about 350 members, of which the July Congress elected only 156 of them, as the rest are automatically elected due to the leadership functions they hold.

We are a few months away from the general elections and the assembly will have a key role in selecting the list of SP candidates for deputies in the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Through a post on Facebook, the head of the government says that today the PS management team can be chosen, which will also start the work to build, as he says, the new SP 2030 representative team.

"GOOD MORNING and with this view from the hall where today in Durrës we will choose the leadership team of the Socialist Party, and we will start the work to build our new PS2030 representative team for ALBANIA2030, I wish you a beautiful Sunday", writes Rama.
