4 recommendations of Salianj with the closing of the Investigative Commission

After the closing of the Investigative Commission for the TIMS system, the chairman Ervin Salianji has proposed 4 recommendations regarding the establishment of a legal framework.

The first recommendation required the adoption of a special law, which will aim to comprehensively regulate the administration, storage, and use of TIMS system data, to avoid any type of abuse or illegality. 

The second recommendation addressed the review of the legal framework for the appointment of the heads of the IT Department and Cybercrime Investigation, in order to clarify and strengthen the legal criteria for their appointment.

The third recommendation required that every area of ​​the building of the IT Department of the State Police be monitored and the list of persons who can enter be strictly defined, where the purpose is to stop unauthorized persons, who may transfer sensitive data to external devices.


The fourth recommendation referred to the establishment of a joint working group, with representatives from this Commission and the National Security Commission, as well as representatives from the Ministry of the Interior, the State Police Directorate, the Police Oversight Agency and international partners, which conclude with the legal changes that are necessary and be approved by consensus of all parties.
