Berisha: The 2025 budget will be the budget for the biggest thefts by drug lords

Sali Berisha, at the press conference held, denounced the 2025 budget, which, according to him, is "the budget of the biggest thefts in the history of Albania."

Berisha criticized the government for misusing the 8 billion euro fund, stressing that instead of increasing salaries and pensions, these funds will go to corrupt projects, especially in infrastructure. According to him, the construction of roads and other public projects in Albania is carried out at much higher costs than in other EU countries, such as Croatia, where he claims that up to 90% of investments are stolen.

Berisha also emphasized that this budget will bring another "disaster" for Albanian citizens, since inflated expenses for public works, such as schools and health centers, represent a great theft of public funds.

Good afternoon and greetings to the journalists and all those attending this meeting with journalists under special conditions.
I am in front of you today to publicly denounce the 2025 budget, announced as the biggest ever budget of 8 billion euros, but after being familiar with its structure, I inform Albanian citizens that this will be the budget of the biggest thefts of citizens by their central and local narco-governments throughout the country's history.
This is because in this budget of 8 billion euros, which de facto makes it possible to double all salaries and pensions in Albania, but let's say with a spare hand the increase of 50 percent of them without any difficulty, it is foreseen not this, but a terrible theft of these many billions of euros of Albanian citizens is predicted.
Thus, according to the structure defined by the narco-government, the budget will be passively used for road pavements and not roads, because the construction of roads as you know has been replaced by the construction of pavements, or as Rama and Lubija like it, their lots.
So, it will be devoted mainly to these for the sole fact that 1 km of road on the same terrain in Albania is built at 10 times the price with which it is built in Croatia.
Which means that in Albania at least 90 percent of the investment is stolen, and even more, if we consider that salaries in Croatia are twice as high as in Albania.
The budget of 8 billion euros marks the next big disaster for Albanians since this budget in all other public works, except for roads, schools, health centers, nurseries, offices, etc., foresees a cost 6 to 10 times higher than than the EU average.
So, it predicts a theft, if we also take into account salaries, 70 to 94 percent of all investments made in these facilities.
Never has a government so mercilessly stolen from its own citizens.
