Berisha with Albanians in Rome: Cooperation with Italy in the future will be

Berisha: First of all, my warmest greetings to you Albanian emigrants present in this hall.
To the Albanians and their Italian friends wherever they are today throughout Italy.
To your parents and families in Albania.
Unlimited gratitude for your presence.
A heartfelt thank you and gratitude to our Italian friends, the Forza Italia deputy, Mrs. Erika Maseti.
To my friend, deputy Alessandro Battilocchio. To
the former senator and distinguished Italian journalist Antonio Razi.
To my friend Pepe Leone.
A very big thank you for the fraternal welcome, my most boundless, most heartfelt, most ardent respects.
Dear friends, our two peoples and two friendly countries inherit ancient traditional ties.
The Arbëresh in five centuries of existence, thanks to their love for their motherland and the kindness of the locals, managed to preserve their language, identity and national culture.
But not only that, they gave this nation prominent personalities, heads of government, governors, ministers, ambassadors, poets, writers, artists, singers.
This diaspora in Italy would also be the cradle of our national renaissance.
After the fall of the Iron Curtain, like the one after the death of our eternal leader, Skanderbeg, a greater wave of emigration would emigrate to Italy. An Italian journalist at the time spoke of people coming from a ghost people. I don't know the motives for which he said that, but I know that he almost did not exaggerate anything.
Because at that time we were the most exhausted people on the planet from the Stalinist dictatorship of the carnage of the class war, from the tyranny of hyper-collectivization and misery, from the dictatorship of isolation and indoctrination.
But my friends, those ghost Albanians of that time and others who arrived later, with sacrifices, work, honesty, wisdom, devotion, proved themselves in this country as skilled workers, successful entrepreneurs, loyal partners, excellent students, artists, scientists, great singers whose success, on their soil, makes the Italian nation proud, the Albanian nation proud.
May God bless Italy, this great nation.
In the last 34 years, Italy has given Albania extraordinary assistance that runs into billions of euros.
Italy is the place where Albanians learned more than anywhere else. Albanians brought thousands of new people to their country with which they transformed Albania.
Therefore, I want to humble myself with the greatest gratitude to this friendly nation, to all the Italians who welcomed, employed and worked with Albanians.
I have a special gratitude for the state authorities of this country, from Andreotti to the immortal Silvio Berlusconi. From Tatarella to Fini, Butilione and President Tajani and my friends in Forza Italia.
I never forget my meetings with Silvio Berlusconi. In every meeting he would tell me, Sali, we have no problem with the Albanians, they are excellent.
With the Italian government we have signed hundreds of cooperation agreements in all fields, but we have also undertaken ventures of strategic importance for Europe such as the TAP gas pipeline. Future projects will be even bigger.
