The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a statement to the media before parliament, demanded the urgent resignation of Edi Rama, calling him a "puppet" of George Soros and accusing him of links to crimes and corruption.

Berisha told the media that the Albanian people expect Rama's departure, and demanded that he resign to save the country. When asked about the possibility of holding early elections in the Municipality of Tirana, Berisha said that the DP will study its options for candidacy, but stressed that the main demand is Rama's departure from power.
