".

"It has become fashionable that Edi Rama not only does not sign himself, but keeps the Decisions of the Council of Ministers (VKM) for the summer peak. During July, unlike the other months, many VKM were issued and 14 of them were signed by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj on 27/7/2022. That means 3 days after his dismissal.

One of the 14 VKMs signed by the former Deputy. Prime Minister Ahmetaj is the one with No. 512, dated July 27. First, we must clarify to the public that there was no meeting of the Council of Ministers on this date.

Secondly, the VKM signed by Mr. Ahmetaj, not having such a tag (since he was fired), is not only absolutely invalid from a civil point of view, but also constitutes the consummation of 2 criminal offenses. Those of "Appropriation of title or state office", provided by article 246 of the Criminal Code and "Performing the function after its termination", provided by article 249 of the Criminal Code" , said Kalaja.

The latter added that this violation is the same as the one for which the former Mayor of Vora, Agim Kajmaku, was sentenced, which means that the precedent exists.

The Democratic Party calls on SPAK to act immediately and start investigations into the criminal offenses committed by Arben Ahmetaj.
