Denunciation/ Government prepares 400 million euros for electoral projects

Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, has denounced the government for using public funds in the service of the electoral campaign.

In a video published on her social networks, Tabaku denounces the government's plan to pay 400 million euros for electoral projects in the last days of January, a practice that she describes as contrary to the electoral code and governance ethics.

“400 million euros are being prepared for the last days of January,” Tabaku declared. “They are paying for projects that they have not implemented at all, that they will never finish, but they need them as electoral candy to inaugurate in the first days of the campaign.”

According to the DP MP, this government strategy is well-known, where public funds are often used unevenly to strengthen power during electoral periods.

“Everything is in the service of the campaign,” she emphasized. “3D projects, roads that are inaugurated ten times, schools that don't open, computers that don't exist, tunnels that collapse.”

Tabaku also criticized the government for failing to complete projects during the 11 months of the year and for intentional delays, which are then used to justify massive payments on the eve of the elections.

She mentioned that "the few projects that have been completed have been implemented only through controversial PPP contracts, while the state budget is used to serve electoral interests."

The DP MP concluded her message by warning about government abuses and inviting citizens to react to such practices, which, according to her, harm transparency and democracy.

"These 400 million euros are the best example of the mismanagement and arrogance of this government, which always acts to the detriment of citizens and in favor of its power," Tabaku concluded.
