Investigation into the Surrel mansions, Kalaja: Irena with 3 surnames is making maneuvers in violation of the law

The Chairperson of the Appeals Committee of the Democratic Party, Adriana Kalaja, has denounced another case of failure of the justice system regarding the issue of property robbery in Surrel, where, according to her, Prime Minister Edi Rama and his associates are involved.

According to her, after the complaint made by the DP in September 2024, the Tirana Prosecution Office avoided necessary actions and delayed investigations for months, while a judge involved in the case was accused of violating the law and political use.

DECLARATION:

On September 2, 2024, the Democratic Party reported the Rama couple and their associates for the robbery of property in Surrel.

As it has shown throughout these years, the party's Duman is in a hurry to take this matter to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for jurisdiction, thus arguing that this entire criminal offense was committed by the prime minister's wife, and not by the latter, as a senior official and within the competence of SPAK.

While this prosecutor's office remains inactive for 6 months, without even identifying the conflict of interest because the judge who had made the decision in the Administrative Court of First Instance was the head of this prosecutor's office, at the end of 2024, it makes the illegal decision to "not initiate" criminal proceedings, when the law has set this deadline at 15 days.

After the appeal we filed against this decision, Judge Edvan Velçani of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, rising to the height of his duty, decided to accept the appeal and transfer the jurisdiction of this matter to the GJKKO.

Given the fact that the law gave the GJKKO the power, based on the procedural situation of the investigations and the evidence in the file, to force SPAK to register this case with the relevant lines of investigation, what does the GJKKO do?

Again, the "editor" calls Irena to the stage with 3 surnames, who, just as she has acted in these years in violation of duty, the law and the Constitution, sends her to the Supreme Court for conflict of powers.

We remind the public that this is the same judge who not only failed to declare during the vetting process her dismissal by Mr. Berisha, in the name of the President of the High Court of Justice, and her expulsion from the Greek state, declaring her non-grata in the Schengen countries for 10 years, but has also taken it upon herself to be used by those who left her within the justice system, only to use her against the opposition and its main leaders.

But in this case, Irena, with 3 surnames, can't do anything more than simply postpone Rama's confrontation with the law by a few days.

Under these conditions, the DP, since it is conducting a real vetting of this pseudo-judge, vows that it will not only make public the entire scandal with the vetting of this servant of the government very soon, but also that any judge and prosecutor who, through active actions and by interfering with files and evidence, have been used as amnesty agents for the narco-government and persecutors of the opposition, will be held accountable before the law.

Likewise, the DP pledges to do everything possible to ensure that the return of the Rule of Law begins on May 12th.
