Këlliçi: On May 11, we will no longer be second-class citizens

The Democratic Party's candidate for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, focused on Prime Minister Rama's speech two days ago where he attacked opposition supporters as autistic.

In a press statement, Këlliçi read a letter sent to him by a mother, who harshly criticizes the prime minister's language during the election campaign, as it offends a social category such as children on the autistic spectrum.

Meanwhile, Këlliçi says that on May 11, the history of Albanians leaving the country will end and the people will be treated with dignity.

Statement by member of the DP leadership, Belind Këlliçi:

Dear citizens,

From this podium you have often seen me come out and denounce the thefts and macabre acts of Edi Rama in these 12 years. Today I will not do that, today I am here to give voice to a mother's letter, as a young man who can't wait to start his own family and with the hope that one day not too far away I will be blessed and become a father.

Let me read you excerpts from Mrs. EB's public letter:

After 15 years of living with autism, 10 of which you were my prime minister, you not only ignored us, autistic children and our families, but plunged us deep into sadness, pain and oblivion. So why should I deal with you?

Because even after we emigrated to seek what you, ignorant and ruthless man, never managed to offer us, I turn on the TV, eager for news from my country, and I listen to you as you exaltedly rape the pain.

What can I say… live among autistic people, you hopeless person. I am convinced that they will teach you something, to love without malice. Meet parents of autistic children and understand the pain. A statesman gives priority to this issue, as does the rest of the world. But what can I say about a fake state, which after we worked and fought, drove us and our children with our tails in the saddle.

We left. The others are still there. Leave the autistic children in the love of their parents, who often feed them watered-down milk. I have seen them with my own eyes, but happy, surrounded by love.

Unfortunately, you have put the people in the dark and are blackmailing them with a salary, a business, or who knows what... because this is what ruthless, delirious, and sick people do.

May God bless Albanians wherever they are. May God make their path back easier. And may God have mercy on you… because from today on I will not do it again.

Edi Rama,

Now I am addressing you, no longer as the head of the criminal organization that you have been leading for 12 years, but as the Prime Minister of my country who has the DUTY to serve Albanians without any distinction!

You have been forcing Albanians to emigrate for 12 years, as you do not provide any services or funding for special children...

You've been forcing them to emigrate for 12 years because children are being killed in schoolyards...

You have been forcing them to emigrate for 12 years because Albanians are dying at the doors of hospitals because they cannot cure children and family members with tumor diseases...

You've been forcing them to emigrate for 12 years after turning schools into the favorite business of drug dealers...

On MAY 11, this will end because Albanians are not sheep or second-class people as you treat them.

On MAY 11, this story will end, as Albanians will show you that we are a nation built on values and family is its essence, and we will all work together to make that painful call of the lady at the end a reality:

May God make their path back home easier...

Thank you!
