Këlliçi: Police deliberately let the municipality directors and Rilindja paramilitaries surround SPAK

Statement by member of the DP leadership, Belind Këlliçi:

Dear citizens,

Yesterday's footage, where the patronage supporters of the leader of '5D' and the paramilitaries of Rilindja, the directors of the Tirana municipality, the municipal police and UKT employees, surrounded the SPAK building for 15 hours, needs no comment!

Apart from being a sign of the barbarity of people who have all the power and are shocked when a fragment of the judicial power takes orders from the law, and not from their boss, yesterday's siege best shows who Edi Rama's true face is and what he thinks about independent justice and the people he has no control over, about whom until yesterday he boasted and said that this is the justice we want.

The Democratic Party views with concern yesterday's physical and verbal escalation of violence against prosecutor Ols Dado and his colleagues, whose lives were threatened when they left the SPAK premises.

The attempt to intimidate them physically and verbally in the workplace and on duty is unacceptable, anti-European and anti-democratic.

We strongly condemn the withdrawal of the state police before the power crowd, leaving the security perimeter of the justice institution in the hands of the patronage and online and offline killers of the leader of 5D Veliaj and the narco-Prime Minister Rama.

Yesterday's paramilitary presence of Veliaj's mercenaries, inspired by Edi Rama's hateful and threatening language, was not only a test of strength and intimidation against prosecutor Dado, who emerged from the barricade of fear, but also against Appeals Judge Ilirjana Olldashi.

Our informal sources inform us that messages, both seductive and threatening, have begun to be sent to Judge Olldashi, in order to favor Erion Veliaj and his criminal group and to circumvent the law, as has been done many times for the latter's mega-affairs, including the Tirana Phantom Incinerator and the 5D criminal affair.

The Democratic Party calls on honest prosecutors and judges to resist and contribute to establishing a justice system that does not look left or right, but only the heart and essence of the law.

This has been our constant principle, and on this principle we are ready to build a new and long-term relationship with justice. Without interfering in its affairs, but without allowing it to become a party to the government, even our government tomorrow.

Finally, a few words for Ervin Enver Hoxha, who has neither two fingers, face nor two heads left. Today he stated that he did not deploy the police, nor set up a security perimeter around SPAK, because according to him, he had no notification.

Do we really need to announce an event that lasts 15 hours and is live on half of the country's media outlets?! Do we really need to announce an event that was announced in the country's media outlets and portals 24 hours in advance?!

It is not the announcement that has hindered him, but the order he received, and his intention as minister of the narco-state to become part of the intimidation and creation of a climate of insecurity for the justice system, which is tearing off even the penultimate petal of the socialist rose.
