DP demands vetting of politicians / Analyst: Idiot tale, Bejko: Fits US agenda

The Democratic Party emerged yesterday from the meeting of the parliamentary group with a request for the government. Vetting for all politicians.

Analysts, journalists and lawmakers have appeared both skeptical and optimistic about the Democrats' demand.

Analyst Frrok Cupi is against the DP's idea of a vetting of politicians. He has described it as 'an idiotic tale and a great shame' that essentially seeks to overthrow the state.

"It's a very idiotic tale, it should turn off the tap on this issue because it is a great shame, after 30 years to do such a thing to sue. What we will do we will make everyone judges. It will do vettingun people. Each individual is a political being, you can not say you are you are not a politician, if you want to stick to all people Vetting come along to be. Nobody stops to make a political career, " said analyst .

Journalist Basir Çollaku sees this initiative of the Democratic Party as delayed, because according to him the vetting should have started with politicians and not with judges.

"Vetting should have started with politicians, not judges. The purity of the figure of the politician is a big problem in our country. I think this is a belated process. "We still do not have any convicted politicians in Albania, despite the fact that the problems that politicians have are great",  said Çollaku.

Democrat MP Roland Bejko said that the request of the Democratic Party is in line with the US agenda.

"This is in line with the American agenda. Biden has stated that the fight against corruption is a priority, especially the corruption done by "white collars", said Roland Bejko.
