"Rama ate chicken with salmonella"/ Berisha: The SP businessman

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has issued strong accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama and a businessman close to the Socialist Party, during a meeting with farmers in Elbasan.

Berisha stated that businessman Arben Goxha, described by him as an exponent of the SP, has brought chicken meat infected with salmonella from Brazil to Albania. According to him, not only has this meat been introduced to the market, but it has also been served to the prime minister.

"The businessman who brought the chicken with salmonella was an exponent of the Socialist Party. He also brought Rama chicken fillet, and he was infected with salmonella, but he kept it secret, even from doctors," said Berisha.

The former prime minister accused Rama of a lack of transparency and of allowing public health to be endangered in the name of narrow political and economic interests. Berisha described this as a scandal that, according to him, shows the irresponsibility of the government in protecting Albanian consumers.
