The Alibeaj group chose Roland Bejko as a candidate for the May 14 local elections for the Municipality of Tirana.

Deputy Jorida Tabaku has spoken against Enkelejd Alibeaj to run in the elections with other candidates, besides the primary candidates. Tabaku expressed support for the latter, as he said that the division of the party, especially in Tirana, would worsen the situation.

"I am against the candidates for other mayors from the opposition. Moreover, in Tirana, Durrës and Elbasan! There is a lot of division in the party at the base, especially in Tirana, and anything like that would just make it worse! We have to think about the DP name, about the logo and we have to protect it to rise and not shrink! You are doing it wrong, you are reducing DP! Allow us to focus our energies on the lists of the Municipal Council and on the name of the entity Democratic Party" , said Tabaku.
