Zhupa and Vokshi submit to the Assembly a resolution for women journalists: They

Two deputies of the Democratic Party, Albana Vokshi and Ina Zhupa, submitted a resolution for women journalists to the Presidency of the Assembly today.

During her speech to the media, Zhupa said that within this year, 30 cases of attacks on journalists have been registered, while she emphasized that the most frequent cases are of female journalists.

"As a member of the Media Commission, we have often focused on the issue of Media Freedom. 30 attacks on journalists have been recorded, where their nature is more sexist. There are many cases, such as from the mayor Veliaj, to the journalist Ola Xama, or Prime Minister Rama to the journalist Ambrozia Metaj.

We have a critical situation in RTSH, where journalists are fired en masse and female journalists are treated harshly, and journalists leave with the drop of a pencil. I presented a draft law to the Assembly, on violence against journalists. The majority with all institutions and heads of institutions have a bad approach towards female journalists" , said Zhupa.
