The local elections of May 14 are very close and in the meantime, some of the candidates for Basque mayor of some of the country's main cities have been revealed.

In Eni Vasili's "Open" show on News24, the confrontations in the main cities where Elbasan, Durrës and Shkodra are expected to be the most interesting competitions have been published.

As already confirmed, the SP will re-candidate Erion Veliajn in Tirana, Gledjan Llatjen in Elbasan, Emirjana Sakon in Durrës and Benet Becin running for the first time in Shkodër.

Berisha's group, which will run under the logo of the "Together We Win" coalition with Ilir Meta, Vangjel Dule and Nard Ndokë, two MPs Belind Këllici and Luciano Boçi will run in Tirana and Elbasan, former MP Igli Cara in Durrës and re-candidates Bardh Spahina in Shkodër.

Meanwhile, the SP is apparently changing mayors with problems with the law on the eve of elections in some cities.

In Vorë, a municipality where the socialist mayor Agim Kajmaku was arrested, the socialists will run for Blerim Shera against the DP secretary for Diaspora, Indri Hoxha.

Another replacement is also in Vlora, where Dritan Leli had long since become an "enemy" of the prime minister.

In this city, a bastion of the left, the most popular name is that of the former head of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during Berisha's time, Ermal Dredha. While the opposition candidate will be Hysen Sharra.

Rama has also decided to re-candidate the current mayors in most of the municipalities, while the right will be waiting until Monday evening to see if the PD of Alibeaj will introduce candidates for mayors, or will be satisfied only with municipal councilors.
