Why did Rama withdraw from the request to SPAK to bring Meta and Berisha to justice?

Prime Minister Edi Rama appeared today in a special conference, along with the Minister of Justice to explain that the successive calls from the highest forums of the party that leads the SPAK, are not to put pressure on this independent structure.  

" All Albania is waiting to see Ilir Meta before justice," Rama said last Saturday at the SP Assembly.

The Prime Minister also clarifies that the request to launch an investigation into former Prime Minister Berisha are not calls to place handcuffs, but to clarify the accusations on which DASH declared non grata.

"What pressure is it to seek the investigation of a former President and a former Prime Minister declared non grata by the US with the most serious possible accusations directly related to the activity of the institutions of this country and to do so, almost a year after the announcement non grata has been made and after the US Secretary of State has publicly demanded in the statement that the institutions of this country should do their job.

And to be very clear, I did not ask and no one asked for punishment but investigation. We do not decide the punishment, but to investigate an issue that is a cornerstone for the whole of Albania and is not a matter of one person, it is a necessity. And to be fully investigated for an independent judiciary. "This independent justice must be liberated from every complex of the past," Rama said.

Yuri Kim's message

"Justice reform will be successful when we do not think it is appropriate when the ruling political leaders or not to say that justice serves when the other goes to prison or that justice is not given when I end up in prison ," he said. The first reaction of the American ambassador to Albania a few days ago regarding the statements of Prime Minister Rama, but the latter had an answer for him.

" I very much agree with this, I agree with this point by point, simply the address is wrong because I am not the one who says that justice is wrong here because it is coming from my side, I am saying the opposite as it is coming in our side, goes to every side. We want a 360 degree justice, we do not want a partial and one-sided justice.

Unë jam shumë dakord me ambasadoren amerikane. Flas për ndërhyrje, për presion, këtë nuk ma thotë mua dot askush në asnjë gjuhë, fare. Siç mua nuk më thotë dot askush që unë ndërhyj në punët e shtypit apo që këtu ka problem me shtypin, nuk i pranoj fare zero. Le ta shkruajnë, nuk më intereson fare, unë them timen, pastaj të tjerët le ta gjykojnë”, tha Rama.

Berisha i përgjigjet Ramës

Ish-kryeministri Sali Berisha i është përgjigjur po sot deklaratave të kryeministrit Edi Rama, ku kërkoi nga SPAK për të disatën herë hetimin e Berishës pas shpalljes ‘non-grata’ nga SHBA.

Në një konferencë për mediet, Berisha u shpreh se Rama po mundohet të tërheqë vëmendjen e shqiptarëve nga kriza përballë së cilës gjenden, duke sulmuar kundërshtarët e tij politikë dhe sistemin e drejtësisë.

"Prej disa javësh kreu i organizatës kriminale të inceneratorëve në një panik të jashtëzakonshëm merret me drejtësinë dhe kundërshtarët e tij politikë. Shkaqet janë madhore, Edi Rama beson se me këto qëndrime të cilat shëmbëllejnë apo janë të denja për Korenë e Veriut, apo regjimin e etërve të tij ka disa synime. Më së pari, të tërheqë vëmendjen e qytetarëve shqiptarë, të cilët po përballen me vështirësi shumë të mëdha në jetën e përditshme për shkak të kësaj qeverie, e cila me firmë e vulë vjedh vjedh e vetëm vjedh. Krijon vetëm mekanizma vjedhje. Dje unë po kontrolloja të dhënat, rezultonte se nga 2014 deri më sot, indeksi i cmimit të ushqimeve është rritur 100%. Unë ju jap një të dhënë, shumica e familjeve shqiptare, shpenzojnë mbi 50 % të të ardhurave vetëm për ushqime. Rritet cdo javë e cdo muaj në këtë vend, në një kohë kur kryeministri e ministrat e tij vijojnë të vjedhin e shpërdorojnë pronat publike", tha Berisha. 

Reagimi i Kryemadhit

Dy ditë më parë, Kryetarja e Lëvizjes Socialiste për Integrim Monika Kryemadhi komentoi deklaratat e kryeministrit Edi Rama i cili i kërkoi SPAK të hetojë presidentin Ilir Meta.

Në Report tv, Kryemadhi tha se i vjen për të qeshur nga ajo fjali e kreut të qeverisë. Ajo shtoi se nëse ka një politikan në Shqipëri që është përballur me drejtësinë gjithmonë, ai është Ilir Meta.
