The former independent candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, Gjergji Bojaxhi, spoke about the political situation in the country on the eve of the local elections on May 14.
Invited to the show "Log." on "Panorama TV", Bojaxhi said that the fact that Albanians choose to leave Albania shows that the political elite has failed in governing the country.
According to him, in the last 10 years in Albania the situation has worsened.
Gjergji Bojaxhi: Undoubtedly, the fact that Albanians are fleeing Albania shows that the elite has failed to govern the country. It has failed to create opportunities where the competition is fair.
I don't think anything has changed, things have gotten worse compared to 10 years ago. Because even the candidates who come out, myself included, there is nothing you can admit to failure. Citizens have two choices, either choose the lesser evil, or do what it takes to put a cross on the ballot.
