A 25-year-old Albanian woman tragically lost her life in a serious car accident in Toronto, Canada.
The tragic accident occurred on January 20, 2025 when the car in which Agnesa Shukulli was traveling with a boy ended up in Lake Ontario, near Lakeshore Boulevard East.
When firefighters arrived, one was found on the roof of the car, while the other was still inside the car. The girl did not survive her injuries and died in hospital.
In November 2021, Agnesa came to Canada to join her sister, Anxhela. A young girl with big dreams of building a better life, helping her parents in Albania, and creating a hopeful future that unfortunately did not end up being so.
Her family is now dealing with the unimaginable pain of losing one of their most precious people. In addition, they are facing the financial challenge of returning their daughter's body to Albania so that she can rest in peace in her homeland.
The family has opened a go fund to raise funds for the return of the body to Albania.
