A pedestrian had an accident and left the scene, a 42-year-old man was arrested

A 42-year-old man has been arrested by Durrës Police after allegedly hitting a pedestrian and then leaving the scene without providing the necessary assistance.

The incident occurred on the evening of May 25, at around 8:45 p.m., on the “Sukth–Vadardhe” road. According to the official Police announcement, citizen DM, a resident of Sukth, crashed his vehicle into citizen BD, 54 years old, leaving him injured. The injured person is under the care of doctors, while his condition has not yet been reported.

After receiving the notification, the Traffic Police services organized the work to identify and capture the suspected perpetrator, who was arrested within a few hours of the incident. During the investigation, the vehicle involved in the accident was seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës for further investigations and legal actions.
