The British ambassador: In Albania, crime related to politics and business

British Ambassador Alastair King Smith said that crime in Albania is related to politics and crime and this is one of the problems between Albania and England.

Invited to Euronews Albania, he said that crime is an international problem and what we must do is to dedicate ourselves to weakening these ties in order to have free and fair elections.

" I agree that it is a problem. The way politics, crime and business are connected is everyone's problem. Therefore, crime is an international phenomenon, and we must dedicate our forces to redouble our efforts and people must see and make sure that these ties are weakened and that we have free and fair elections and that politics represents the people," said Ambassador Alastari . King Smith.

Alastair King-Smith called on the Albanians to choose the legal ways to go to Britain. He said that a few days ago the British Ministry of Finance announced a number of jobs in the construction sector, which, as he said, can be used by Albanians applying for work visas.

"You have heard my call and the British government has made it clear. Those wishing to travel to the UK must apply for a visa. It is still hard to believe, but last year over 90% of applicants received their visas. People still believe that getting a British visa is extremely difficult. As long as you can honestly answer the questions of the online application system, supported by the required documentation, there is no chance of rejection, which is why 90% manage to get a visa. This figure includes not only tourist or student visas but also work visas. I would like to see more applications for work visas and for Albanians to work effectively. 10 days ago, the British Ministry of Finance announced a number of jobs in the construction sector. This means that a large number of Albanians working in this sector in the United Kingdom can apply for work visas. We urge people to choose the legal route and not risk difficult and illegal journeys", said the ambassador.
