A 35-year-old woman from Azerbaijan is arrested in Tirana for exploiting

Tirana Police have finalized the operation codenamed "Escort", stopping a prostitution ring. During the operation, citizen AH, 35 years old, from Azerbaijan, was arrested, and five other people were processed at large.

According to the official announcement, AH, who resided in Georgia and Tirana, is accused of "Exploitation of prostitution" and "Prostitution." This citizen is suspected of recruiting women from Turkey and Azerbaijan, whom she used for prostitution through an online website she administered.

Police report that when the victims sought to leave the illegal activity, AH exerted pressure on them by publishing compromising photos on this page.

Also, four women, G. Ç., 40 years old, KI, 32 years old, SE, 26 years old, MH, 26 years old, and AS, 32 years old, who are suspected of practicing prostitution, have been processed at large. Likewise, citizen DA, 51 years old, resident of Tirana, is being investigated for involvement in the exploitation of prostitution.

The operation was conducted by Specialists of the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Section in cooperation with the Tirana Prosecution Office, as part of the fight against illegal trafficking and the exploitation of persons in need.

Investigations into the case continue, while police are working to document all the links in this organized network.
