Extreme heat has gripped the country for several days. Maximum temperatures have reached 43 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Meteorologist Hakil Osmani told Vizion Plus that the weekend will be accompanied by rain in several places.

"Today remains with high temperatures. Today we have a slight increase in air temperatures, making the maximum in the territory range to be 42 degrees Celsius. The highest temperatures will be recorded in Elbasan, Berat and Gjirokastër. Tirana will be in the values ​​of 40-41 degrees, also the city of Shkodra. As for the coastline, temperatures remain at 39 degrees. The southeast will be cooler with highs hovering around 35-37 degrees Celsius.

At the weekend we will have high temperatures again. Maximums will be 39-40 degrees Celsius in the territory range. The coolest area remains the southeast, Korça district. As for the atmospheric conditions, in the hours of today's noon, the clouds will suffer temporary developments, causing that in the eastern areas, including partially in the city of Tirana, we will have rain. Saturday is also expected to have these short-term rain showers. Those who have decided to go to the coast should not worry because we will have light cloudy periods in the afternoons, but no precipitation.

Monday and Tuesday will be dominated by intervals of long sunny hours. As for the temperatures on Monday, the maximum will fluctuate around 39 degrees, while in the mountainous areas we will have no more than 38 degrees. The Southeast will have maximum values ​​around 34-35 degrees Celsius. "Tuesday brings an increase in temperature by 1 degree ," Osmani said.
