Germany removes travel restrictions with Albania, what are the conditions that must be met
Germany's decision to lift restrictions on free movement for Albanian citizens entered into force on Sunday (June 20th). Through an announcement, "Mother Teresa" Airport has provided details for Albanian citizens who will travel to Germany, after this decision.
From today, Albanian citizens can travel to Germany also for tourist reasons. Germany announced the lifting of restrictions with Albania two days ago, based on the significant improvement of the epidemiological situation in our country.

Germany removes restrictions on the entry of Albanian passengers from Albania to Germany
The German Federal Government has lifted all entry restrictions for persons residing in Albania. The effect of this decision starts today, Sunday, on 20.06. 2021. Travel to Germany of persons residing in Albania and biometric passports, starting from this date are again allowed for all categories of travel.
All Tirana International Airport passengers traveling to Germany are required to have one of the following criteria:
1) a COVID test, or
2) proof that the person has passed
3) or has been vaccinated (vaccination with vaccines recognized by the EMA).
Specifically the vaccines that are popular in Germany are Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. Biometric passports require two doses of EMA-approved vaccines, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson.
For passengers entering Germany by air, a pre-departure test is still in force (PCR test - no earlier than 72 hours before the flight, or antigen test, not earlier than 48 hours before the flight).
Travelers fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines mentioned at the link https://www.pei.de/impfstoffe/covid-19 or cured (not less than 28 days after cure and not more than 6 months after overcoming the infection ), who possess a document proving vaccination or cure, formulated in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish, in hard copy or digital version, it is not necessary to present a negative test at the moment of entering the road from Albania to Germany.
Digital travel registration and quarantine are no longer mandatory.
