GJKKO dismisses the case against Socialist MP Agron Çela

The Special Court, at the request of SPAK, dismissed the case against Socialist MP Agron Çela.

Announcement of GJKKO:

The applicant, the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, on 15.10.2024 submitted to the Court the request with the object: "Request for dismissal of criminal proceedings no. 22 of 2024".

At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judge Erjon Çela, based on articles 112, 328/1 letter "b", 329/a and 329/b point 3 of Criminal Court, with decision No. 123, dated 13.11.2024, decided:

Accepting the request of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime.

Dismissal of the criminal case pertaining to criminal proceeding no. 22 of 2024 of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime registered for the criminal offense "Fraud" provided for by article 143/1 of the Criminal Code, as pursuant to article 328/1 point 1, letter "b", of K .Pr. Criminal, from the conducted investigations, the fact is not provided by law as a criminal offense.

Procedural investigative costs prepaid by the state are left as incurred.

Against this decision, an appeal can be made to the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime within 15 (fifteen) days, which period starts from the day after the announcement of the decision.
