The chairman of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, has a different attitude from Prime Minister Albin Kurti. He says that Pristina should not remain hostage to the association and that the solution of this issue is the only way to reach the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia.
During an interview for the Voice of America, Haradinaj praised Washington's position in this process, adding that the United States is helping Kosovo overcome the last obstacle to reach the final agreement.
The creation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority is one of the issues that has created tension between Pristina and Belgrade, but also between Pristina and the international factor.
"The debate is always right. The issue of the Association has gained weight with recent developments, i.e. the successive crises in the north and the tensions there. This is the only possibility, there is no other way neither Kosovo nor the other parties to reach the final agreement, without giving an epilogue to the issue of the Association. The association for Kosovo is an obligation taken over time, but fortunately it is a constitutional and legal obligation, so it does not go outside the Constitution and laws of Kosovo" , said Haradinaj.
