The story of Alessandro Sandrini: How the Albanians fabricated the kidnapping,

 

Alessandro Sandrini, is the 38-year-old from Folzano di Brescia, kidnapped in Adana, on the border between Turkey and Syria on October 15, 2016, Sandrini returned to freedom in May three years later, while he is currently facing a trial in the role double of the defendant and the plaintiff.

As Italian media reports, in fact Sandrini was not kidnapped, but staged it. It is suspected that the 38-year-old simulated, agreeing to go to Turkey and disappear for several months, thus organizing a "fictitious" kidnapping.

Indeed, as soon as he arrived in Turkey, he ended up in the hands of the terrorists of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, a group of jihadists working for Al Quaeda.

According to local media, the kidnapping of Sandrini was planned by a suspect identified as Alberto Zanini, a 55-year-old resident of Collio. Zanini is also suspected of having organized the fake kidnapping of Sergio Zanotti, who disappeared in Turkey in May 2016 and was released in Syria in the spring of three years later.

Other Albanians are involved in the story of Sandrin's kidnapping: Fredi Frrokaj, an Albanian living in Flero and Olsi Mitra, an Albanian from Gussago.

Ibrahim Ashem Mohamed Hashad, a 50-year-old Egyptian accused of kidnapping and attempted kidnapping for terrorist purposes, was also charged.
