GJKKO has accepted SPAK's appeal for 6 defendants for the Elbasan incinerator affair. The hearing will be held on June 6 at 11:30.
SPAK appealed the decision of GJKKO for Lefter Koka, Pëllumb Abeshi, Jonida Zeqon, Mirel Mertirin, Stela Gugallian and Klodian Zoto.
For Koka, the court overturned the charge of abuse of office and convicted him of corruption. However, SPAK requests in the Special Appeal the punishment of Alqi Bllako and Lefter Koka with 10 years respectively for Koka and 4 years for Bllako.
"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, on 16.05.2024, registered criminal case no. 35 of the basic register, on the appeal of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime and the appeals of the appellants/defendants LK, PA, JZ, MM, SG, KZ, Trading company "*" sh.pk, Trading company "*" sh. .pk, with object: "Appeal against decision no. 61, dated 05.10.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime" which declared the defendants guilty of committing the criminal offenses provided for by articles 248-25, 245-25, 260, 287/2, 328-25 of the Criminal Code.
According to the lottery dated 16.05.2024, the panel of judges consists of judge Igerta Hysi (presiding), Saida Dollani (Member), and Iliriana Olldashi (Member).
The public court session is scheduled for 06.05.2024, 11:30 a.m. , the announcement states.
