IHP: 17 children infected with salmonella in Gramsh kindergarten

The Institute of Public Health has confirmed that from the tests conducted on 79 children in the Gramsh kindergarten, 17 of them have tested positive for 'Salmonella Enteritidis'.

17 children have been found to be infected with this bacteria, while results are expected for 6 other children, but they have also resulted in an increased bacterial load.

On the other hand, the NFA is conducting analyses of samples of food products consumed by kindergarten children.

Salmonella Enteretidis is a bacterium found in chicken meat and eggs. Meanwhile, a team composed of epidemiologists from the IHP and inspectors from the AKU have gone to Gramsh.
