From family celebration to tragedy/ GoFund opens for tragedy in Germany where

The serious road accident that occurred in the early morning hours of May 25, near the city of Koblenz, Germany, involving several Albanian citizens, has placed the families of the injured and victims in difficulty.

According to reports, the victims are a 53-year-old man and two women aged 47 and 65. They, along with six other people aged between 20 and 66, were returning from a family holiday in the state of Hesse.

The three were from Vlora, and were visiting Germany – filled with joy for a special occasion: their niece’s engagement. The vehicle that crashed was filled with nine people. Among the injured is the deceased couple’s daughter – one of their three children. She is currently receiving medical care in Germany and has suffered serious injuries.

The family is not only facing immense spiritual pain, but also great organizational and economic difficulties:

Transporting the bodies to Albania, funeral expenses, treatment for the seriously injured girl, as well as support for the remaining family, who must now deal with pain, shock, and responsibility.

The accident happened at around 3:05 a.m. when a minibus carrying nine passengers veered off the road to the right and then overturned. German police said no other vehicles were involved in the initial accident, but another car ran over the wreckage shortly after the incident.

The causes of the accident are still unclear, while authorities are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances. Also, the identities of some of the people in the vehicle have not yet been fully confirmed, where it is learned that in addition to Albanians, there were also other foreign citizens.
