Eglantin Proga, 42 years old, was raped to death on Saturday by Denis Meçe. The incident was initially reported as accidental, but shocking details later came to light.

Meçe asked Proga for the daily tour of the bar he owned and then when they went out, he punched him on the left side of the head, a blow that caused his death. The scandal deepens more since the violence against Proga was committed in the eyes of an officer.

The people present at the time of the violence gave evidence about the event. One of them denies that there was an argument and fight between the perpetrator and the victim.

"They didn't have any kind of argument or conflict between them and they stayed for a very short time after only drinking half of the beer and got up and went to the toilet. When he went outside, people called loudly asking for water and I quickly went outside and saw him lying on the ground, I lifted him to give him help until the ambulance came to take him. I checked the camera that I have at the bar and it was not recording at all, but only what you see at the moment and nothing more" , declares one of the witnesses.

Proga's cousin stated that he did not hear shouting, but he saw that the owner of the bar approached Proga for help. He claims that at first he did not know that he was his cousin.

"I did not approach, but I saw from afar that the owner of the bar came out and approached the person who fell to the ground and was giving him help. I was told that the person who had fallen to the ground was my cousin, citizen Eglantin Proga. I approached immediately and the people who were there called the ambulance that came in 10 minutes. I could not identify the person who punched my cousin. When I saw him, I didn't hear any shouting or cursing" , Proga's cousin claims.
