A few days after being released from prison in Germany, renowned Albanian boxer Florian Marku has been arrested again, but this time in England.


The Albanian has been arrested for the same matter that he was detained in Germany, on an international arrest warrant issued by Greece.

He is currently in jail in England, awaiting extradition to Greece to serve his sentence for a 2010 incident where he got into a fight with some Russians in a nightclub.

Florian Marku was involved in a conflict in Greece, where he was charged with 2 counts by the authorities.

Mark served 1.6 years in prison out of his 7-year sentence, and under the new law, with the case on appeal, he will have to return to serve the remaining part, at least 1/3. His detention was in Germany, where he had gone for personal reasons, and he was detained on December 9.

Florian Marku has been pursuing his career as a boxer for years, fighting in different countries, as there was no prior notice of this matter.

His base can be considered England, where he lived with his family and had built a successful boxing career, but he will now first have to resolve the matter with the Greek justice authorities.
