Residents of the village of Hotolisht once again protested to oppose the project to expand the Librazhd-Prrenjas national road, part of Corridor VIII, which they say threatens to destroy homes, lands, and the lives of the community.

The protest took place along the road near the village, where traffic was blocked for about 20 minutes, as a symbolic sign to draw the attention of the authorities to their concerns. The message was clear: the residents are not against the infrastructure development, but demand that the project not encroach on residential areas.

"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Librazhd Police Commissariat referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office where criminal proceedings were initiated against the following citizens: -FA, 58 years old, AD, 47 years old, F. Ç., 52 years old, KA, 36 years old, SH, 34 years old, EA, 28 years old, FH, 46 years old, M. Ç., 60 years old, M. Ç. 30 years old and AA, 41 years old.

This is because yesterday, on the "Librazhd-Prrenjas" road axis, they blocked the movement of vehicles on this axis for several minutes, claiming that the road being built there passes through the village of Hotolisht and endangers the homes of the village's residents , the police announced.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, for further action.

Two months ago, residents submitted a petition with 511 signatures to central institutions, but the only response they have received is that “the project is under review.” They emphasize that they are not against the construction of the road, but are seeking a solution that does not destroy the community.
