Protesters "put" France, but Macron does not withdraw from the pension

French President Emmanuel Macron aims for the pension bill he approved to be implemented by the end of 2023.

Despite the protests that gripped almost all of France from the revolt of the French citizens, Macron does not seem to back down from the decision he made, AP reports . The retirement age according to the decision approved by Macron's government will increase from 62 years to 64 years.

In a televised interview, Macron said his bill would continue down the democratic path, implying he would not back down despite the unrest that has engulfed France.

It was the first time Emmanuel Macron spoke publicly since his government passed the pension law, sparking protests in Paris and across the country, some of which degenerated into violence.
