This Wednesday, 34,000 euros of suspected proceeds from criminal activity were seized in the Port of Durrës.

During the control carried out in the van, the Police services found, as material evidence, 34,000 euros, which the citizen JZ had distributed to 4 passengers in his van, with the aim of entering our country, without declaring it.

At the end of the procedural actions, the 38-year-old man was arrested for the criminal offenses of "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border" and "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity".

" The Border Police Services of the port of Durrës, in cooperation with the investigative structures of the DVP Durrës, based on the risk analysis, with the support of informational intelligence, have intensified controls in order to prevent and attack border crimes. Following these controls, within the coded police operation "Participation", the Police services moved to the second line, for a detailed control, the vehicle (van) of the "Bari-Durrës" line, driven by the citizen JZ

During the control exercised in this vehicle, the Police services found and seized as material evidence, 34,000 euros, which the citizen JZ had distributed to 4 passengers in his van, with the aim of entering our country, without declaring it in accordance with the laws in power.

At the end of the procedural actions, the citizen JZ, 38 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested in the act for the criminal offenses of "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border" and "Cleaning the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", announces police.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Durrës Judicial District Court, for further procedural actions.
