1 kg of cocaine seized in Tirana, two arrested, one of them Pajtim Serjan's nephew

Tirana Police have seized 1 kg and 50 grams of suspected cocaine, with a market value of around 270,000 euros.

Two citizens, KS, 24 years old, and EM, 20 years old, were placed in handcuffs after 1 kg and 50 grams of suspected cocaine were found during a physical search. Along with the narcotics, a large amount of money and the cell phones of the arrested citizens were seized.

One of those arrested is the nephew of Pajtim Serjani, who was arrested and convicted of extortion three years ago. Serjani was convicted of extorting money from a businessman in 2014.

In 2015, Serjan was assassinated on Kavaja Street, and Aurel and Amarildo Hoxhallari were arrested in connection with this incident.

During the operation, another case of distribution of hard drugs in the city of Tirana was uncovered.

1 kg and 50 grams of suspected cocaine (with a market value of approximately 270,000 euros) were seized.

The police have caught 2 citizens red-handed engaging in this criminal activity. 

Intensive work continues to identify and capture other persons involved in this criminal activity.

The Services of the Narcotics Investigation Sector, following successive operations to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics, supported by police intelligence, within the framework of a criminal proceeding pursued with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Fam Fanz". 

During this operation, citizens KS, 24 years old, and EM, 20 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested in flagrante delicto.

Police services have located on "Kastriotët" street, the vehicle with the driver, citizen KS, and the passenger, citizen EM. During the physical search of citizen KS, the Police services found 1 kg and 50 grams of suspected cocaine.

The narcotics, along with a sum of money and the cell phones of the arrested citizens, were seized as material evidence.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further action.
