An Albanian was arrested in Greece for drug trafficking. The drug traffickers, while trying to escape from the police, collided with a vehicle. After the accident, it was possible to arrest them and find about 80 kilograms of drugs, processed cannabis (chocolate).

According to information, everything started at noon on Saturday, when the police in Igoumenica signaled to check a vehicle that was moving on the old Makrichora-Mazarakia road. The driver of the vehicle fled and was chased. Inside the village of Mazarakia, the driver of the suspected vehicle lost control, hit a parked vehicle and stopped.

Immediately after that, the two people tried to escape on foot, where the police then handcuffed the traffickers. Inside the vehicle, the police found 4 bags, which contained approximately 80 kilograms of processed cocaine. The two arrested were taken to Thesproti Police Station, while the car, which belongs to a relative of the arrested Greek, and the drugs were confiscated. The preliminary investigations are being carried out by the Narcotics Prosecutor's Office in Igoumenica, while the two arrested are expected to be sent to the Thesprotia Prosecutor's Office.
