They took money from citizens for scanners, the two doctors of QSUT are released

A day after the arrest, the two doctors arrested at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, Nazmi Metaliu and Astrit Mansaku, were released from custody.

Although they were accused of corruption and abuse of office after allegedly taking money from patients in exchange for scanners, the Court has suspended the two doctors from their duties for 3 months.

The investigations had started about three weeks ago, while several cases were documented where doctors took money from citizens who underwent the scanner.
