The peacekeeping mission of NATO, KFOR has intervened in the dispersion of protesters in the municipality of Zveçan, in the north of Kosovo.
Kosovar media report that tear gas had to be used, and there were also confrontations between KFOR and the protesters.
Several KFOR soldiers were also injured in the clashes.
Initially, KFOR warned the protesters to disperse, but they did not obey.
" You are causing trouble. You are putting yourself and your community at risk. Leave the area and go home – otherwise, KFOR will be forced to intervene ," was KFOR's audio warning.
